Youth Programs

Kids Cruis (Castle Rock United in Spirit) - The Castle Rock Lutheran Church Kids Cruis Program is a mid-week Sunday School program and is open to all 4K-5th grade children, regardless of church affiliation or membership. The kids meet on Wednesdays after school in Fennimore and walk to the Fennimore Township Hall, located at 835 Jackson Street in Fennimore. Children enjoy a quick snack and they have a Bible Lesson. Each week, they are bringing home challenges and work sheets to be completed and returned for points. Points can be redeemed for prizes at the end of three months. Under the musical leadership of Ashleigh Hrubes, the children sing songs about God’s joy and present their musical selections about once a month at church. Have your child come join in the fun, for further information please contact Kids Cruis Director Leslie Wolf at 608-822-6795 (home) or 608-822-5263 (cell).

Vacation Bible School - Vacation Bible School at Castle Rock Lutheran Parish Hall each August is not only very special and exciting but a definite "must do" for kids from 4K-High School. Yes, even middle and high school kids eagerly await this event and return year after year. The mix of activities offered, the opportunities to serve and grow, and the rural setting where many fun activities can take place are a big draw. With the Bible and Jesus forming the center of all VBS activities, kids can learn how faith and trust in God impacts daily life. 2022 Kids Camp VBS saw the "campers" hiking in the woods, searching for God's nature treasures, and roasting marshmallows, while also learning how God takes care of us during the storms of life.

VBS at Castle Rock Lutheran is definitely worth "checking out!"

Confirmation Classes - Castle Rock Lutheran Church offers confirmation classes to young people in our congregation interested in affirming their baptismal vows. Classes for 7th and 8th grade students generally meet once a week, usually on Wednesdays during the school year, and the students attend for two years. Classes are held in conjunction with confirmation classes at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Fennimore where students and teachers share a unified message, and then break into small groups to discuss the theological beliefs specific to their synod affiliation.
